I am a qualified Consultant in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine. I qualified from Dundee University and subsequently undertook specialist Anaesthetic training with Imperial College. I completed my Pain training at St Thomas’ Hospital which is Europe’s largest centre for pain, and trained at The Royal Marsden Hospital, a centre of excellence for cancer pain.
I have extensive experience of managing patients with acute, chronic and cancer-related pain. I treat patients suffering from all types of short-term and more persistent pain, including knee, back, neck, elbow, shoulder and cancer pain. My specialist interests include:
- Musculoskeletal pain
- Neuropathic pain
- Spinal pain
- Cancer pain
- Head and face pain
- Pelvic pain
- Widespread pain
- Fibromyalgia
- Complex and regional pain syndrome
I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to pain management with special emphasis on interventional pain techniques. My goal is to provide symptomatic pain relief, enhance function and improve the quality of life for each of my patients. Through advanced diagnostics, effective treatments and a multimodal approach, I aim to restore wellness to all my patients struggling with pain. I am passionate about medical education, having completed a PG Certificate in Medical Stimulation and have been involved in training the multi-disciplinary team.
